Sangamitra Open School provides an environment where students learn both academics and life-skills based on their individual achievement levels.

It opens its doors to children with learning difficulties (reading, comprehension, spelling, writing), Attention deficit issues, language deficits, motivation and emotional problems.

The School offers a full time academic program with the following options:

• A pull-out from a mainstream or regular school environment where the child is given remedial help and sent back to the mainstream school for State Board or CBSE Board Examinations.
• The student studies at Sangamitra and appears as a private candidate for the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) Secondary or Higher Secondary Examination.

The school structure includes Level A and Level B. Teaching strategies are matched with the child's learning styles. Each child has an individualised education program.

The school provides holistic development by including sensory processing therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy, art and craft, indoor-outdoor sports and games, and regular field trips.

Handwriting Without Tears is an internationally recognised program now being offered at Sangamitra Early Intervention Centre.

The program provides developmentally appropriate, multisensory tools and strategies to learn writing. Unique teaching strategies involve developmentally appropriate methods of learning writing skills — print and cursive.

Children develop writing skills through explicit, multisensory, play-based instruction.

• Teaching letters in a developmental order helps children master skills and boosts confidence.

Digital Speech Lab provides intensive and individualised speech therapy required for developing speech and language.

Music Therapy — conducted by experts in the field of music therapy.

• Clinical and evidenced-based use of music as a tool of intervention.

Parent-based Intervention is based on an internationally recognised programme and comprises of 15 hours per week of structured individual and group intervention.

• The intervention is led by parents, guided by a team of professional therapists.
• Intervention areas include communication, socialization, play, self-help skills, and prevocational skills.
• Empowering parents with knowledge and skills through workshops and regular feedback to help children progress.

Sangamitra is an early intervention centre offering various learning programs for children between the age group of 8 months to 12 years. Specialised in therapies for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorders, Down's Syndrome, and Specific Learning difficulties.

Started by Dr. Nandini Mundkur, a renowned Developmental Paediatrician with over three decades of experience working in the field of child development and disabilities. She leads the team of compassionate and capable therapists and special educators at Sangamitra.

Socio-Emotional Learning Program — ever thought that emotional health is as important as physical health?

• The program helps build a strong, positive, communicative culture and climate with the help of plush dolls.
• At Sangamitra, we use KIMOCHI dolls to help children learn to take turns, understand, regulate, and deal appropriately with emotions.
• This 18–20 week program includes interactive activities through which children are taught to interact with peers, engage in meaningful relationships, and become independent in decision-making.
• As a result, children develop a positive self-image, are better able to understand others' perspectives, and become emotionally intelligent individuals.

The program is available for children attending regular schools. Classes will be conducted every Saturday. There are only two enrolment openings every year — June and November.
